When Was Asbestos Banned in Calgary?

Asbestos was never banned in Calgary in a single year. Its use declined through the 1980s, became uncommon by the early 1990s, and was fully banned at the federal level in Canada in 2018. Homes built before 1991 may still contain asbestos and should be tested before renovation or demolition.
